Project is aimed at enriching and contributing to the preservation of indigenous knowledge in Namibia, to improve and enable easy access.
Undocumented
Inadequate preservation of indigenous knowledge in will result in generations losing vital information about their original roots.
Research
Action research method is used to collect data; the community & elders are involved and a technical team to capture activities.
What we now know
The Findings
The findings of the project shows that there is an urgent need to document and promote indigenous knowledge, to create systems to enable access to information before it extinct. There is still opportunities to capture and document valuable information as knowledgeable people in the community are willing to share their skills.
